The HSYWE offers scholarships for higher education and vocational training to high-achieving, financially disadvantaged youth and women within Nepal’s Himalayan-ethnic communities, especially Himalayan students. The amount of monetary assistance granted is based on the financial need of each scholarship recipient, as well as the amount of available funds. The progress of each scholarship student is evaluated on a regular basis.
